We have used Norton's TV service for the past two years with a small dish on the roof and a box next to the television. During this time we have been frustrated with channels disappearing and the picture freezing or pixelating. Contacting Norton's has just added to the frustration as they try to fob us of with a variety of excuses such as essential maintenance or bad weather.

They have now reached a new low as all channels disappeared to be replaced with a "no signal" message. Contacted them by phone only to be told that they have shut down the T V broadcast system. We did not get any notification of this, they claim to have sent an email but no email or phone call was received. The only solution is either an IPTV box which we know is no use to us as our internet signal is not strong and steady enough to give good reception or to get a 1.4 metre dish. We would have to pay a considerable amount for either option. To add insult to injury our original contract stated that on cancelling the service our 100€ deposit would be refunded, however, I would have to get on our roof, take down the dish, the LMB and all the cables, then return them to their office along with the box and remote control all in perfect working order. If we required reinstallation by their engineers then 50€ would be deducted from the possible refund. I pointed out that I wasn't cancelling the service, they had shut it down. The staff member on the phone stated this was their policy and as she only worked there she was following company policy.

I would recommend that you think seriously before using this company. I tend to think of the old line, at least Dick Turpin wore a mask. Meanwhile we will be out of pocket again as we look for a reliable TV provider, while Norton's give no refund or compensation for removal of the service.

Companies seem to do as they please with the poorest level of customer service, the only solution is the spread the word that others may avoid them. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Rebroadcasting is illegal they have probably been shut down by the authorities, you're not likely to get any customer service from a company operating illegally.

If they are operating illegally they are still advertising their services in the local papers, offering other TV services but not broadcast TV with the small dish. We like many others have been left with no service and they expect customers to fork out more money for another sevice. Daylight robbery.

I'm at my wit's end with Norton's. Not one program have I seen start to finish. It's always some lame excuse if not my fault

We are having similar issues with our Norton services. The WiFi is more reliable than the tv system but that disappears from time to time. The tv system is just impossible to live with, you see about 5-10 seconds of tele and then it just freezes, sometimes the sound continues when the picture freezes but most times it all just stops and then 5-10 seconds later it all comes back on again but you’ve missed the bit in between. We’ve tried to complain about the service but as people above have said, we get fobbed off with all sorts of excuses and when a technician came out he made us feel like it was our fault!! Avoid avoid avoid folks!

These are not the first complaints I have heard about Nortons TV, in my opinion IPTV is very hit and miss and we have Ole Fibre! Can't recommend IPTV at all just too complicated and unreliable. I just want a system that works first time everytime.

Invest in a dish and a digi box,we have a humax for recording , we have had the system for 15 years and can count on one hand any temporary problems experienced.

Exactly the same story as others- stay away from Nortons !!

Each time we complained about freezing picture etc etc we were advised by there staff with the comment "well we've had no complaints and ours is ok - which in other words is ignoring my complaint and calling me a liar.

Unapologetic and no customer manors. - be warned!

Go and see a good solicitor. Spain does have a system to take companies like these to court and you can claim all costs
