Driving family member back to Alicante airport
Does anyone know if we are still allowed to drive family members back to Alicante airport without fear of being stopped and fined by the Traffico
Hi Wilky,
Apparently the thoughts on this are Yes you can but , it cant be 'we' it can only be one person accompanying them to the Airport .Do ensure you have with you, a copy of the boarding pass of at least one of the members of the family you are intending to drop off.
This copy of the boarding pass may be needed as proof of your reason for travel on that day if stop checked by the Authorities whilst driving back from the Airport.

Many thanks LeckyLes,
Very helpful indeed. Onlyy one passenger on this occasion but I wonder what would happen if it is a son taking his mum and dad back to the airport ?
What a load of unnecassary tosh.

I think misunderstood the reply. It was not referring to the passengers but the person taking them, that can only be one person.

Absolutely correct. I am reliably informed the fine (can this be a criminal offence) for having more than three people (including driver) in your car is 1,000 euros - I kid you not.

Hi Grahamm
My Dutch partner is currently on her way with Uncl Gorge to the airport. She has a copy of his boarding pass to show any officer on her way back to prove why she is driving.

Hi Graham,
Yvonne just back. Was stopped twice on the way Guardemar and La Marine - each time the Guardia Civil officers bristling with their new found powers to stop and question any motorist, were annoyed Uncle george was sitting in the front seat each time of the stappage but they did not make him change his seat.
No stops on the way back.
I have just run out of printer ink and it may be some weeks before MediaMart reopens.
