Hi Steve, thanks for reply, I should have said we are in the UK, hoping to travel to Spain January.

Hi Jan,

Information in the Gov.UK website, under the section, "How to use the NHS COVID Pass when travelling abroad"

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/nhs-covid-pass

suggests you need a document that can be read digitally, but there is also an option to request a non-digital letter.  As the regulations currently stand, you will need it in Spain for entry to bars, restaurants and other entertainment venues.

Kind regards,

Kim

Thanks Kim, I have a printed copy but wondered if not having it on my phone ( android) would be a problem. Will carry the paper copy around at all times and hope it will be sufficient.

We were in a restaurant this morning & our Covid passports on our phone were scanned without any problems, a short while later another group arrived and they had paper copies they were also scanned without any problems.

Hi Jan,

Sorry, but your original post says, you "can print passport but it does not show QR code".  The staff in restaurants that we've been into have used a QR reader on their mobile phone to record the details - I have mine on my mobile and my husband has a paper copy, but both have QR codes.

Kind regards,

Kim

Thanks, but the problem is when you have a paper copy it doesn't show any QR code so nothing to scan, just dates if vaccinations.

Hi Jan,

Did you read the link I provided and the section, "How to use the NHS COVID Pass when travelling abroad"?  It suggests that the NHS Covid Pass has a barcode.

Kind regards,

Kim

Hi Kim, yes I did read it, I've tried to download app onto my android phone but the problem seems to be that I can take photo of passport but matching it to my image just doesn't match,( I've not changed much since taking photo for passport) so I can't get QR code onto my phone.  Is it just me doing something wrong?
