It may help you to keep up to date with new legislation for the current situation if you keep an eye on the N332 Facebook page, as they post updates on a regular basis. It is run in conjunction with officers of the Guardia Civil for English speaking people and usually it is just for anything to do with driving in Spain, but the current situation has meant that they have added information regarding the virus.

Hi Blanco,
I've just picked this up from the www.gov.uk website, which I think explains the issue:
"Spain declared a State of Emergency (“Estado de Alarma”) on 14 March, which introduces a series of measures including significant restrictions on movement throughout the country in response to the coronavirus outbreak. The Spanish government has ordered that hotels and short-stay accommodation (such as short-stay campsites or caravan parks) must close by midnight 26 March. These measures do not apply to long-term accommodation, such as long-stay campsites, as long as clients can cater for themselves, in their own spaces (ie that clients do not rely on communal facilities)."
Here's the link to the site:
Kind regards,
Kim
Will do

I'm still not sure..........
The Spanish government has ordered that all hotels and short stay accommodation must close.....I think properties with Tourist Licences would qualify under this category.
These measures do not apply to long term accommodation providing there are catering facilities.
It doesn't say that short term accommodation can stay open if they have cooking facilities.

Cheryl. My guests have been here for 6 weeks. Does that qualify for long stay?

Your property is licensed as a short term holiday let. I'm just using my own interpretation here so I could be way off. I would be guided by your abogado.

Hi Blanco,
Sorry, but I'm not reading that as good news. You said you have a Tourist Licence, i.e. for short term lets, which I believe are included in the ones that this legislation is forcing to close. I suspect that this is the new law to which your agent and their lawyer are referring. As you say that your friends are staying at no charge, I think you need to double-check this with your own lawyer and especially your friends' legal position if they are unable to book one of the repatriation flights back to the UK.
Kind regards,
Kim
