A good number of posters on this forum have confirmed that an antigen test is sufficient for UK entry, costs app €40.

If you are travelling from Spain whilst Spain is on the amber list don't forget your day 2&8 package for use in the UK, you will need the confirmation number for your locator form....

...

Whats a 2&8 package?

They are the tests required to travel from Spain to England whilst Spain is on the UK Amber list.

The lateral flow test is taken in Spain and costs app €40.

Day 2&8 package should be purchased before leaving Spain but taken in the UK..

The confirmation number to the package will be needed for your health locater form.

That still didnt explain what a 2&8 day package was. How/where do I find one? And where do I get a locator form?

Locator form is on Gov web site.

You can book day 2 and day 8 tests with "Express Tests" at Gatwick or Heathrow or other areas i believe.

They are £90 for each test.(£180 in total) You can also opt for a day 5  release test, which is slightly more money, which ends you need to self isolate (if negative) but day 8 test still has to be taken.

They do call daily, and i have also had a visit.

Yes you still need day 2 and 8 test. The government check on you for 8 days only so they wouldn't know if you isolate for a longer period and prob wouldn't care.

I was talking about this yesterday, the UK government doesnt want people travelling, so personally i believe now that all these tests are simply to make things soooo awkward and unnecessarily expensive that people won't bother travelling abroad. But thats what I think
