Does anyone have a link to show that once a person arrives in the U.K. from Spain and within the 14 day quarantine requirement, they are allowed to travel back to Spain before the 14 days are up? It seems crazy because they will be mixing with others yet I saw somewhere that it is allowed?

I don't have link but that is correct. You can travel back to Spain before the 14 days is up.

I took this screenshot a week or so ago and if you look at the gov website, it explains everything.

I read that Spain and other EU bloc countries might impose quarantine on those coming from the UK.
You can imagine how that will affect travel. Fly from UK to Spain and quarantine for 2 weeks fly back to UK and quarantine for 2 weeks. Nice waste of a month.
I suspect if infection rates stabilise and if the mortality rate remains low then quarantine will become irrelevant at least for Europe.
Hope so as I want to see my daughter some time soon :)

Spain and Portugal crave the British tourist income. They would be jeapordising their Economy if they were to introduce a 14 day quarantine period of UK travellers into their countries
