You can fly to the U.K. and return within the 14 days no problem. But you must quarantine while you’re in the U.K.

You are allowed to see your mother. I returned in August and during my two weeks quarantine my husband was admitted to hospital with heart problems, we explained to the nursing staff and they allowed me in for an hour a day, but took my temperature and monitored me also. It comes under emergency, and allows you to leave the address you give on paperwork.

I went back to the UK in August. The online quarantine form allows you to enter multiple addresses where you will be during your stay - I entered three different ones and could have entered more....
There were no checks at all at London Gatwick and no-one contacted me at all during my stay. Incidentally about one third of people in shops do not wear masks, shop staff are not required to and no-one wears masks in the streets.
To be honest, having been in Spain since before the lockdown, it seemed a complete shambles...

Hi answer to your question it does not matter how long you are here in uk up to 14 days you do have to qurantine. I arrived saturday at Heathrow absolutely dead went straight through no queuing to show paperwork that took ages to fill in as staying at 2 different addresses. I fly back Sunday so will be here 8 days. My friend came just for 4 days. I am also amazed at how many people do not abide by the rules i had to go to supermarket to get food and there was several people with no masks on. I will be so glad to get back to Spain that i now call home. Only reason im here is to bury my dads ashes as could not make his funeral in June and exchange contracts on house.

Check out the Gov.uk website ... I read that if you’re stay in the UK after being in Spain is less than 14 days then you must quarantine for the duration of your stay in the UK.
