I wish to hire a car for my daughter, however, the hire company insist the main driver (my daughter) supplies a credit card in case of accident.....she doesn't have one, they won't accept mine or her accompanying friends. Is there any company out there that will accept a cc from someone other than the main driver?
There are a couple of companies that if you take out all their insurance coverage they will let you pay cash. If that's any good. Last year I done this I'm the Algarve. If you need I'll look the company up.
Thanks David, however, we have our own insurance so this wouldn't be an option.
Lara cars offer option of paying by cash and are reliable

Two options when hiring a car.
1. Buy their inflated insurance with cash. Don't need a credit card for the deposit
2. Buy your own insurance block the deposit on the hirer's credit card.
That's it. No other options. Based on what you have said the only solution is option 1
