Can anyone give a recommendation for a good, inexpensive car wash in the La Zenia or Cabo Roig area. Desperately needed as the weekend rain dumped the Sahara's sand on the car.

John, I don't know your area, but every petrol station around here has jetwash facilities. Costs me €1 to wash it and another €1 to rinse it, and I usually have time left over at the end of that.

There are usually three choices - hot wash with detergent, rinse with plain water, and polish (brillo). Do the wash, then press the button to switch direct to brillo and use that to both rinse and polish.

I'd be dubious about using a drive-through wash, as the rotating mops on the sand might result in scratches on the paint.

If you want someone to wash it for you there is a hand car wash down the side of the big Chino / Chinese shop opposite Consum right near the big traffic island La Zenia on the 332.
