just as a note .

we used Brittany ferries from Poole to cherbourgh. The dog stays in the car for four hours and you can visit it at the halfway mark.

Our dog slept all the way.

Hi Dave I am making the same trip with my dog also, think tunnel thinking of your dog is the best situation.

What your travelling plans and routes? regards Tim

Hi Tim, i’m Booked on the 10.50 euro tunnel train and then taking the west side of France. Type in google maps and it’s the first route you see. Not sure how it will go but if I can get the Bordeaux day 1 I will be happy with my progress. Lots of services that are dog friendly and hotels attached that take dogs so i’m Told from other much appreciated posts. Reds Dave

Could you let me know which pet friendly  hotels you stayed in also on the way? you will need a vet also if you're coming back to administer a tapeworm pill for your pet(stamp pet passport). My wife knows someone if you need any help.
