Good advice above

If you need to replenish your medication , ‘phone your health centre in the UK and explain your situation. Ask for a note of the medications that you and your husband are prescribed. If you know the names and tablet size eg 2 mgs, 5mgs, 10mgs. Etc. The pharmacy will sell it to you. I always kee...

...p the empty box Incase I need to get more. They will dispense it if they have see what your doctor has previously prescribed fir you.  If you can’t get home, accept the situation and do your best to get some good nourishing food in for your stay. Take advantage of the sunshine and relax on your patio or balcony. Download some books. Ask a family member to pop into their local library in the UK and apply for s card which will allow access to all the most recent books. They can email the code and you can read as many books and magazines as you want. Alternatively, use your kindle. You may not have WiFi so that will be a difficult thing as you can’t get out. A close neighbour may allow you to piggyback on theirs. Email and ask them. Don’t despair. Buy sunscreens from the supermarket as you may still be in Spain for a few months and it will become hotter and hotter. I am told that the tap water is safe enough to drink so that will save you having to carry it. Your main job is to stay healthy and well and you must also keep your minds in a positive place or else you will be in trouble

That all said, you might get home tomorrow and hopefully you will. Please let us know

My best wishes to you both.

Hi Grannyrose thank you for the advice regarding the medication much appreciated.Sarah

Hi Grannyrose thank you for the advice regarding the medication much appreciated.Sarah

It worked fir us a couple of years ago when we extended our holiday and my husband didn’t have enough tablets with him. You will have to pay for everything you get but what price good health?   Travel insurance may cover the costs but I would think twice before claiming on your parents insurance as it is nigh on impossible to get travel insurance for the elderly so if they intend to return on holiday again, bite the bullet and pay the cost!  It may not be as expensive as you would think.  Hope you are all making the best of your holiday even though you are housebound. Simple, silly games can entertain us!

Freight will still be able to enter the country in order to guarantee the supply of goods.

To add to what Ray has said if you think you have the virus, as well as telephoning you can also request a call back from a health professional via the web:
