Does Amezon Fire stick work in Spain?

I have a Amazon Fire stick cannot get films on or anything else keeps coming up with errors 5055 I have the internet but still keeps having errors dose it work in spai

These errors occur when there's a problem with the sign in or sign out process.
- For issues during Sign In:
Make sure you're entering the information associated with the Amazon account you use to purchase or watch videos. If you continue to see an error, please wait and try again later. Sign in errors are usually caused by temporary connectivity issues.

We use a Fire Stick in Spain. It is attached to our UK Amazon Prime account.
We use a service from overplay.net to make it work.
The Amazon streaming works well. Live (free-to-air) UK TV works, but can exhibit bad buffering. Catch-up in fine. Access to Netflix (via the Fire Stick) is unreliable.
Overplay.net costs $5 (5 USD) per month.
Our internet installer set it up.
