Hello can anyone recommend a hotel 3 hours from Santander on the motorway route with secure parking?

Trying to break up a 9 hour journey.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Depends which way you're going. If you take the route I use, Bilbao - Zaragoza - Valencia, there is a good hotel on the edge of Tudela called Bed4U. I've used it several times. Modern, comfortable, good buffet breakfast, and a fenced parking compound right behind the hotel with electronic gates operated from reception. Google it.

Incidentally, the A road to Zaragoza on day two is good, no need to take the toll motorway, and there are no motorway tolls from Zaragoza onwards. Good luck.

We use Hotel4U at Tudela. Great room, secure parking and the best cooked breakfast I've ever had in a Spanish hotel. It's about EUR50 room only.

Hi,

We travel from Punta Prima, and always stop at Tudanca Hotel, which is about 3 hours from Santander.  We go via AP7, A7, A31  towards Madrid, then take the R3 and follow signs for A1 Burgos.  The Tudanca is about an hour before Burgos, and the area call Aranda de Duero, (junction 152) you can park outside your room, they have underground parking, but we have never used it, as it is a quiet area and a minute from the motorway, and we feel very safe.

We like it because we can take our dog, as the have pet rooms, and an enclosed garden/run for pets.  There is a restaurant and cafeteria which does hot meals till late.

Hope this helps, it gives you a choice to try different ways.

Hi,

It can be difficult putting Spanish addresses in your satnav.  Try putting the area in...Aranda de Duero. Burgos, then your satnav should hopefully ask you for further info, then put in name of hotel Tudanca...if you are coming down from north, I think the junction is 152 or 153, the other one is coming up from south, both lead to hotel, which is a minute or two from main road.  Hope this helps.

Margaret.
