Hi RayD
Didn't intend to be racialist as I thought it was already covered by the shop employees and "British Irish" remarks. Oh well.

They played the race card.

The overwhelming opinion here seems to be that the O.P was very unfairly treated during her visit to JYSK. After reading the above quoted comment , I was pondering the question as to ,in the unfortunate instance somebody referred to a person from this country as a " Whinging Spaniard " ,would that be considered racial abuse ?
Transpose that into the earlier remark of " Whinging Brit " . Would that ,in turn not be considered equally as Racial abuse ?
Was just wondering !

LeckyLes you are right that's why comments were removed, it is just a pity that the OP's terrible experience and subsequent post was then subject to the extreme nastiness that pollutes the Forum.
That is so true John,
I suppose in retrospect though, the thread has been quite a long one which in turn means plenty of members would have read it and the intention of the O.P. to forwarn as many others as possible, although maybe not in the manner intended, has, in fact probably now been a success.

In short, no.
Spanish is not a race, neither is being British. They are ethnicities.

Good point Relyat. That is a correct statement for modern times, however it's worth pointing out that the term " Race " was originally referenced to Speakers of a Common language, or to denote National affiliations.

Everyone seems to have lost the plot here. The poor lady wast injured and it should have been dealt with in the shop and at the time.If it had happened to me and I was spoken to in that way I would take it further and to the top people in the company.British, Spanish,German,Black, White. No one should be treated and spoken to in this way. These people should not be working with the public or should have further training in customer care.If management are not told about things like this they will never know and will not be able to do anything about it.The couple that were involved should complain to the top management.

I am sorry to hear this and see your injury it looks very bad.I do hope you take this to the top management they need to know so they can deal with it correctly and they need to know that they have bad staff.Black, white,Spanish,German no one should be spoken to in that way totally disrespectful. If they know they can put it right and will I'm sure no management would tolerate such bad manners and the loss of customers.

For goodness sake RayD give it a rest! Your earlier unsympathetic reviews were removed. Please try and show some empathy .
