Have you noticed that :

Mercadona supermarket muffin chocolate buns gone missing from sale .

Also the small fresh 12 bread rolls have been replaced with an inferior bread roll and they dont freeze as well . WHY

Why don't you ask at Mercadona, the only other person I knew who called rolls "bread cakes" was my late sister in law.

They do change their stock every so often.

Personally I  love their packs of 4 pan cristal square shaped rolls. If you heat them up in the air fryer the crust is beautiful

Doug, next time you go into Mercadona ask to speak to the duty manager, they are generally pretty helpful. You'll be able to pass on your comments on the bread rolls (which used to be packs of 11 last time we bought any).  Probably they have changed suppliers.

Aitch.

So glad I read your post.

I got a pack of the Crystals, not spelt right I think?

Picked them up at Carrefour, which I don't generally visit on a regular basis.

They are yummy, toasted or straight from the pack, soft and spongy.

I shop at Mercadona,so they will be a staple for me from now on.

Thank you.

I suspect its just the start of supply chain problems courtesy of Trumps lunacy in the Middle East.
