There is an airport bus, hourly from 8am to 9pm, to the bus station in Torrevieja, departs from level 2 (departures) out the door to the right and 2nd last bus stop. €7 cash, pay the driver (€3.15 if you have a Mobilis Tarjeta Bus card)
This card can be bought from the bus driver or at the bus station €2 for card and €20 for credit)
From the bus station you can get a taxi (around €20) or get a bus connection. You can use the above mentioned card on the Avanza buses (To Pillar de la Hordada or to La Zenia)

For buses around the Orihuela Costa, see these 2 bus schedules,

All of the above buses operated by Avanza benefit from using the the Mobilis Tarjeta Bus card, with fares reduced to 60 cent per person and the card can be used for up to 6 people at a time.
The local bus service around the Orihuela Costa, while fairly frequent is cumbersome and takes a VERY roundabout route, so factor this into your travel requirements.
Local taxis are scarce at the best of times and as it gets busier they are almost non-existant.
Cabo Roig is on the coast, moving into Playa Flamenca and across the motorway to La Zenia and from then is uphill (fairly steep) to Villa Martin. Another thing to take into consideration with age and fitness levels, especially as the temp goes up.
Hope this helps.
