Cabo Roig or La Zenia?

Sorry but it is not clear if you are looking for a property to rent or a property to buy and then to rent out as a holiday let. If the latter rental properties are always in high demand in both areas as they offer a variety of bars and restaurants close by while being near great beaches. If thinking of a property as a holiday let a major factor would be obtaining your Tourist Licence which has strict criteria regarding the type of property that would be granted a Licence, look at DaveBev's series of guides on the Forum. Failure to get a Licence will mean you cannot advertise your property for rental purposes, something some Estate Agents may not tell you when you are considering buying, while going down the illegal letting route will likely get both yourself and those renting your property heavy fines.

Thank you for your reply.

We are looking for a property to rent in either La Zenia or Cabo Roig. We explored both areas last week after viewing some rental properties in Torrevieja, (which we found was maybe a bit too hustle bustle for us), and we liked both, but we would be grateful for any helpful information ie good points, not so good points, how it is living there etc, to help us decide the right area for us.

There are residential areas in both Cabo Roig and La Zenia, avoid being close to Cabo Roig Strip due to late night noise as holidaymakers are leaving the Bars in the early hours. We are in La Zenia about half way between the two so handy for both without the noise and within walking distance of the beach.

Hi ,we are in Playa Flemenca which we find very suitable.It is very close to both areas u mention but does not have the huge tourist influx during the summer.It also has in our opinion a more settled community .But we are so close to everything we need.Hope we are of some help.
