You will be glad to hear the answer is yes, the beach bars on the smaller beaches are closed or removed over the Winter.

Sorry..... not sure how to start a new thread ?

Similar topic of beach bars tho,

We have used Playa Flamenca beaches a few times, enjoying the low key ambience of the slightly less commercialised area.

On our recent trip at christmas we noticed that all the beach bars/cafe's & loo blocks had been taken down ? !!!

Will these return for the 2018 summer season ?  if so when please ?

Any ex pats now very familiar with the area with a finger on the pulse, any info would be great.

Best Regards

They are taken down over the Winter due to lack of trade and to prevent storm damage, they will be back.

Hi, I read that all the sunrise beach bars had been closed down because of not having a licence and it is highly unlikely they will open again. We were hoping to come over for 6 months last October but unfortunately we had to postpone due to a family illness. These beach bars were a main attraction for us !! So good to sit looking over the sea, even in winter those bars were busy.

We are due out on 9th may with friends.  Has anyone seen if this bezch bar is up & running again for this season ?

Any info would be great.

Hi,

Afraid not. The earliest they may be open is end of June. The new tender has only just gone out.

Thanks for prompt reply.

This is a real shame & will almost definately impact on Playa Flamenca beach visiters in next 8/10 weeks.
