Hello I was just wondering how much tax I will pay in Spain in my uk pension.Guess it will be pro rata to what amount pension I will get.Thankyou

It's impossible to say, as it all depends on your age, the amount of the pension, whether it's paid as an annuity, and the amount of any other income you might have.

In broad terms, if your total income is less than €12,000, you won't pay any tax. However, whether of not that is the case, you still need to submit a tax return for your first year of fiscal residency in Spain.

Hi my husbands state pension is less than £12,000 pa and a solicitor has submitted a tax return for us  As a resident for the past 2yrs .Am I right in reading that under the threshold you only have to submit a tax return for the first year .

If you are a Resident in Spain, you need to submit a tax return every year.  I use a Hestor and they do everything for us.  The downside is it costs me €80 just for them to work out I dont need to pay any tax!!!!

Your Gestor is overcharging you I think!

All my tax returns are done annually by my Solicitor in Albir and they charge €80. Your Gestor should be charging less than a Solicitor.
