Electric cut off
Hi has anyone had dealing with Iberdrola and having their electric cut off. We arrived here last night to find this. My husband went up to our post box to find a letter giving us fifteen days to pay or they would cut the electric. We don’t live here so had no way of knowing this was happening.
All our bills are paid through the bank on D/D. Last year we received a letter from our bank asking us to produce our passport details ect or they would stop our standing orders it was in the middle of covid and a bi5 of a panic but my husband managed to get a flight over the following week to sort things out. It was something to do with Brexit Now we are thinking did one of the D/D not get paid and this is why they cut us of eight months later. Even though we are paying at the moment and have just received last months bill all paid. Apart from this letter we have not received any other communication apart from our usual monthly invoice.
We tried several numbers last night but had no luck they just took our number Automated and said they would call back even tried paying the bill on line and not sure if it was paid took my card details twice ect but no confirmation of payment.
just wondering if anyone has a number for such events and emergencies
