Can anyone assist with regard to contacting Iberdrola in an emergency, IE no power. We arrived from Uk to our own apartment last night, and soon after arriving our power just tripped. I tried re setting the smart meter by turning off the main breaker and re setting, no improvement. Then tried looking into the external supply box 100 mtrs away, but could see no reset on the meter it’s self. Tried calling Iberdrola, last night and all day today, just get a recorded message stating sorry all our lines are busy. Have now had to leave the apartment and book into a hotel, just to be able to warm up and have a shower. The supposedly emergency tel no 900171171, is only in Spanish and having difficulty in that regard. Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks, Hew.

Have you tried the Iberdrola Consumidores app (not the Clientes one). It allows you to reset your smart meter remotely.

Worth a try.

That’s a shame as I have called a few times on that number and have spoken to someone in English maybe try talking to them again, they have always been very helpful might be different on a weekday.  I have been told that the reset button on ours is the orange button never tried it myself.

You can't do a reset from the consumer unit in your property, only from the meter itself.

It depends on what type of smart meter you have. With some you have to turn off the main switch for a few seconds and then reset it. With others you just press a button, which on ours is green.

You can also reset a smart meter remotely:

There is an Iberdrola Office in Los Dolses beside the Sabadell Bank at the roundabout on the way up from La Zenia towards Lidl and Mercadona.

Many thanks Jim, some fantastic info there, really appreciate it. Eventually got Iberdrola to reset remotely, just wish there was a reset on the smart meter itself. I will now register with them for future. Thanks again, New.
