I see posts re Iberdrola's tariffs. My contract shows 5.75 and each bill even when our property is vacant, is  never less than €65. We use our property for approx 8 weeks in the year and was wondering if it would be worthwhile to get the tariff reduced to 3.5? However, I had been advised that the higher tariff was recommended for anyone running air con. Our air-con unit is a large single Westinghouse unit which feeds 4 rooms. I see references to the lower tariff sully 'tripping out', in such an event is this a simple matter of restoring the trip at the consumer board or is Iberdrola required to do this? Our water bills are the same, when unoccupied we always close both valves at the meter yet our bills are still very high. Is there any way to get these lowered?

Hi I’ve just got my Iberdrola bill we aren’t there at the moment the bill is from 24 October to 26 November here’s the breakdown on the bill:

Subscribed Power Capacity 3.3kw €12.28

Equipment Rental €0.88

Vat €2.76

Total €15.92

We have a 2 bed apartment with aircon and we manage fine on 3.3kw, the only thing we’ve changed is the electric hob, we replaced it with a gas hob. Our air con doesn’t service as many rooms as yours, so wouldn’t like to comment on what kw you may or may not need.

The water when we’re not there is usually around €62.
