Uk satellite TV. Can I just buy once?

Hi could anyone help me choose a satellite system ( dish & box) ?

Is it possible just to buy a system that I can watch a few basic uk tv channels on without having a contract. I don’t watch much TV when in Spain but like to able to flick through the news and get bbc itv c4 and maybe a few extra.

I have used a system as part of a community satellite previously but don’t have the details.

I was hoping to get one with a small dish.

Honest advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have you consider the fact that you do not need a dish and can have UK TV via the internet?

You can buy a dish and receiver have it fitted then view quite a lot of UK channels for free, this is the system we have and it works fine.

IME the problem with internet tv is the constant loss of viewing as it keeps buffering.

Tried watching via internet but keeps buffering. But I k ow it works well for some in the area. Thanks for your response 😄

Get yourself a 1.4m dish and free sat HD receiver Humax do a good one (not a sky hd box) this will give you most free channels but not everything as signal is weak in this region

How did you get on with you TV setup? I have just moved to the area and am looking to get my TV setup with English channels. Id rather opt for the cable system as WiFi is not very reliable.
