Hi,

My wife Rhian and me are recently retired/semi retired and looking to buy a small town house, preferably in Lliber, or in the locality. I am an Electrician with some plumbing experience and Rhian a Nurse. A partial renovation would suit and I wondered if there are any other tradesmen in the village such as plasterers etc?

I speak some Spanish and on a visit yesterday Lliber seems to be the perfect place to mix with both locals and expats?

Any advice or recommendations would be really appreciated.

Hi, we live outside Lliber in the campo. I believe there are a few independent trades in the village,notably a plumber, I understand,and certainly the best known local locksmith!

You may have better luck down in Jalon finding people, but of course you can always go and make enquiries at the local Ayuntamiento, where they are usually very helpful.

There is an English woman, Suzanne, who is employed by the Council to help the local foreign residents, she works there 2 days per week and is the fount of all local knowledge .

We ourselves used a local firm of builders for all our works, but they were not from Lliber, but another small town in the area. If you are interested, send me a pm and I will forward their details; they are always very busy.
