Register with Doctor

I have just obtained Residency. I need to register with a Doctor. How do I do this, and do I have to register with the Lliber doctors, or can I register elsewhere? Thanjs

Hello,

I assume you have an S1 form from the UK .If so you need to register it with your local INSS (social security) office, sometimes an appt. is necessary.

. They will give you a form to take to your nearest Central Salud who will, in turn allocate you a Dr. I dont know the possibility for registering with a Dr. out of your area.

If you gained resedencia (TIE) with private health insurance you choose from one of those available to you with your insurance

From Lliber you have to make an appointment in Denia to register your S1. this then has to be taken to the local ‘head office’ for the area which is Benissa, where you will wait in a queue for ages to be attended to! They will then take all the details and issue a temporary SIP card which, in the fullness of time, they will exchange for a permanent version. You are likely to be allocated Dr Ana who is the peripatetic GP who covers Lliber/Jalon/Alcalali. Currently lliber surgery is only open on Tuesdays and Fridays due, in no small part, to the Covid situation.

This assumes, of course, that you have an S1 form?
