You just go to your local ayuntamiento (council offices). Nothing to it.

Thanks, we will go tomorrow. Do you know what we need to take with us?

You will need your passport, a utilities bill and your NIE numbers.

Hi Karen.       My wife and I just got our Padron today in Town Hall, Playa Flamenca, it was hassle free although we had to queue for about 30 minutes.  Just needed our passports and rental contract and Padron was issued.    I nearly went to one of those agencies that "help" you get a Padron.  They would have charged me 60 euros for something I was able to do myself.  Good luck.   Patrick

Hello Patrick, many thanks for your response. We have found where we need to go and are hoping to get it sorted tomorrow. We have all our documents so hopefully it will be as easy as yours was! Next thing is to get the medical SIP cards sorted. I have a list of items and it's great to get things ticked off!! Muchas gracias :-)

Hi Karen.     This is something I am not sure about.      Presumably I need Residencia before I can get medical cards.    Do you know if this correct.     Patrick

I am not sure! Plan to check when we take Padron to register at the doctors. :-)

If u don't mind let us know how you get on.    Maybe I don't need Residencia to get my medical card.    Thanks

We got our Padron yesterday from the council office. They wanted our passports, NIE number and a copy of the house deeds (or possibly a rental agreement if you are renting). They did not ask for a utility bill (good job as we haven't been here long enough to receive one yet)
