Hi everyone. I currently have a UK mobile but it needs replacing. Has anyone got a dual sim and would they recommend it or would I be better just changing to a Spanish number?  Also when looking on Amazon it says 'Spanish version' what exactly does that mean?

My wife's got a dual-SIM Motorola Moto G, and just swaps over when she goes back to the UK. That isn't strictly necessary while the UK are in the EU, but post-Brexit then roaming charges might be applied. I'm no lover of any sort of phone, but recognise that a mobile is essential these days, and when her old phone died the price differential wasn't enough to put me off getting her a dual SIM.

I don't know what Spanish version means. I just got the phone from Amazon ES and set it up in English. If you buy a phone from a shop on the high street, then make sure it's not locked to a provider.

"Spanish version" simply means that the phone is designed to work with the range of mobile frequencies used in Spain.

It's nothing to be too concerned about though as for all practical intents and purposes they are the same throughout Europe and most parts of the world too, the US being a notable exception where you may need to check that any phone you're thinking of purchasing does cater for the differences found over there.

A few years back it could be a significant problem with frequent travellers sometimes sometimes having to carry separate phones but I think few of today's phones will have any issues.

I highly recommend Orihuela Costa phone shop on Cano Roig strip.

They have a Facebook page and respond to messages quickly.

I bought a phone from them and now have a Spanish SIM.

All their phones are unlocked and they offer life time support.

My package is only 5e a month and unused data is carried over (I use very little)

Could you tell me what side of the road this phone shop is on. I would be coming from Punta Prima on the 322.

It's on the left by the roundabout by Bankia.

They are on messenger and reply in English.
