I was wondering who to contact in telecoms about not getting a signal on my phone where I live. Any ideas, thank you

Linda

Hi Linda,

I would have thought the first stop would be your service provider - unless you're suggesting it's a network problem? Could you give us a little more information about the issue?

Kind regards,

Kim

There was a post on here the other day similar to yours and someone said try switching your phone off and back on, it may then start roaming?

I've just changed from Vodaphone to Yogui? and still can't get a signal but I'm not the only one. I live at the bottom of a hill so half the people in my road don't get a signal either.

I would be grateful for any suggestions. Thank you

Hi Linda,

Depending on the service providers being used by the other people who can't get a signal either (have you asked who they're using?), it suggests to me that there could be a problem with the network coverage in that area, especially as you say you all live at the bottom of a hill.  Did you have the same problem when you were with Vodafone?  If not, I would go back to Yogui and ask them to resolve it.

Kind regards,

Kim

Hi Kim

I did have the same problem with vodaphone, and as you say it is probably a network problem

Thank you for your help

Linda

Also switch on airplane mode for a minute or two then switch off airplane mode. The problem could be with vodaphone and your new provider uses the vodaphone network. You may have to change the settings on your phone in networks from manual to automatic or if on automatic change to manual and you will be given a list of networks, try each one and see which one works
