m buying a property in Los Altos 8 minutes away from Aldi, please can anyone tell me how far it is to La Xenia Boulevard and if there are any good Chinese Testaurants close by?

Also how far is the nearest Beach?  How does one get there, as I do not drive.

I guess I would have to take a Taxi... how far is this and the cost?

Many thanks

Pinkshami

Hi and welcome

We too are in Los Altos a few minutes from the new Aldi.  We walked to Zenia Boulevard yesterday which took us around 25 minutes (nosying at houses along the way haha).  You do need to speak to neighbours etc who can tell you about little cut through etc rather than following main streets and roads.

Via Park 3 has two lovely Chinese restaurants and then there are others in Punta Prima, Playa Flamenca etc all within walking distance

To walk to the beach at Punta Prima would take us approximately 45 minutes I think, we have walked down to restaurants and bars down there, so basing timing on that.

We do find taking Taxis can be expensive, but there are the Costa Azul bus services which can take you to many places for a relatively small cost.

Best wishes in your new home

Sharon and Mike

Hi

Here's the bus service http://costazul.net/lineas-urbanas/c-c-la-zenia-boulevard-hospital-de-torrevieja/

I think the fare is about 1.40. However it can be a frustrating service, not very frequent, and it takes a long time to go a short distance! However, there is a very good service to Torrevieja, you can find it on the above webpage.

I agree with everything that pinkshami said, and would add in LA Florida as a close-by area, its very lively and is also on the bus route. (In fact we're going there this afternoon to see a live rock band).

My own favourite Chinese restaurant is Zenia Garden, close to the boulevard, at the bottom of the Saturday market, but those in Punta Prima are very good as well.

Cheers

Steve

I too live in Los Altos and would like to know how to walk to Zenia Boulevard from the area. I live not far from the Consum on the hill. I've never found a bus that can take me there without maybe going into Torrevieja to catch it?

From Consum, walk up towards Via Park 3/Lime Bar/CK 1 etc.Take the second road on the left (if you walk a couple of yards past it and then look back, you will see a small sign for The Emerald Isle bar). Then simply walk straight down that road on the right hand side (if you take the left hand side you might get find yourself turning left at the school). Simples!

Ok thanks. I'm familiar with the CK bar so will try that out.

You're confusing me now (its easily done). I can't find a "Calle Lamen" - do you mean "Calle Limon", near the Citrus Centre/Friendly Bar/Cavern etc? But that's not Los Altos.
