Hello. There are loads of ex pats in the Los altos area. Just go up to Via Park 3 complex and you'll meet loads. Also in Punta Prima and La Florida, which are close. Lots of bars and events, and you'll be close to The Emerald Isle, and The Abbey, favourite ex pat haunts.

It does have an expat community around the lime bar and Emerald Isle we nearly bought there but bought a place in Playa Flamenca, La Florid a is good as well and flat, Los Altos is more hilly. Hope you find your perfect home.

We are in the very new part of Oasis Beach V111.  I would like to be in a Spanish type house.

Need to find some agents I guess

Thanks all for your help, it's much appreciated

We are in a quad bungalow and just in the process of modernising.  If you don't get near an expat community the winters can get isolated. All the best.
