Hi Everyone
As a matter of interest if anyone has travelled by ferry to Santander or Bilbao whether it be pre or post brexit are customs and
immigration very stringent in their searches for cars disembarking the ferry or do they randomly check the vehicles, just would
like to know

Random checks unless they've received some information, then all cars checked.
We've only been stopped twice on disembarking. Once when a lot of other vehicles were checked using dogs (especially mobile homes & caravans) and another time when we just had to move the rear cover so they could see into the back of the car.

Drove a car over to torrevieja 3 years ago had more agro at Portsmouth getting on the ferry, getting off at Bilbao was a breeze.

Had no problem in the past at Portsmouth just wondered if they were more stringent post Brexit either end
