Hi again - I have just bought some large electronics (Soundbar speakers etc) here in the UK that I want sent to my holiday home in Los Balcones. I had hoped they would fit in a suitcase but I am not that lucky! Has anyone got experience of sending things over to Spain please and any recommendations? I am wary that I will need them delivered on an exact day (or two) so I can make sure I am there to receive them but have zero idea where to start.  Has anyone any advice pretty please?

Most probably you shipment will be held up by Spanish customs and subject to 21% VAT which can take 1 week or more.

I had 4 small packets delivered from the UK yesterday and got charged 29.41 for the privilege!!! Since Brexit its a ripoff to send anything ftom home without being charged exorbitant prices for something worth 2 euros!!!

You’ll need to pay import tax on them, which will make them very costly. You would be better off sourcing the same product here in Spain. Duties are 2.5% plus you’d also have to pay VAT of 21%

Even if the goods had fitted into your case you would have run the risk of having them impounded at border control and having to pay charges to release them.

Since July almost everything brought into Spain incurs taxes, including stuff from China.

Buy online from a Spanish company or Amazon.es and you’ll be advised a delivery day.
