Hi

Has anybody heard latest - when Spain could open for foreigners to come back to their houses in Spain ? Curfew extended to 12th May I saw for residents. Second or Third week of June planes from Europe can land again in Alicante ?

Southern Norway has fantastic weather these days but you never know when that will turn to bad again ?

Hi

Where did you read it was extended to the 12th ? Government haven’t confirmed yet and talk of extending to the 9th May also where did you find the info about flights being 2nd 3rd week in June ? We are booked to fly on the 2nd June

Thanks

I'm waiting for that news too. I've lived in Western Australia for 20yrs but have had my little house in spain since april 2016. I was due to move there permanently at the end of this month. But my flights 28th April were cancelled. Being in Spain will put me much closer to uk friends and family. And i love Spain and already have some very special friends there. I cant wait to move there but their borders have to be open and i have to be able to fly out of Oz. One worry is that i wont be able to get my residencia before December and the brexit implications. And i need the Padron to be able to bring my furniture and personal effects into Spain. So its all very nerve wracking. If anyone knows anything helpful I'd be very grateful. Stay safe everybody x

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

On the subject of flights, I have had a couple of Ryanair flights from Alicante back to the UK cancelled.  The most recent being my flight from Alicante to Edinburgh on May 6th. Before it was cancelled they had offered me the chance to change this, but asking that I do not book it anytime in May. We shall wait and see.

It has to pass congress and it might get blocked by opposition parties. I am staying in my 2nd home myself - I beat the lockdown by 7 days., It's not great though, at least in the UK you can have 1 hr excersise.

As someone who purchased a holiday home in 2018 for ourselves and family use, is there any feeling that foreigners may not at least initially be welcome when the borders are open?

We have been here from the UK since very early March and apart from the odd surprise that a Brit is still in town it has been friendly and normal. I think that they see me as a local now - as they know how difficult it is to get out of Spain as I have had 2 flights cancelled so far.
