Can anyone recommend an electrician please. I 've dropped a jar on the cooker hob and need to replace it. Thanks

Hiya Patty,

Reading into your post it appears to me you have said you intend to instruct an Electrician to install you new hob which you would purchase separately yourself.

If I have that correct then a good piece of advice would be to isolate the hob from its power supply , free the hob from its Worktop location and measure the dimensions of the recess . The reason for this advice is that the size of the base of hobs is not entirely standardised and if your existing hob is of the smaller dimension and if you purchase one slightly larger there is the possibility it will not drop into the recess in your worktop.

In the majority of cases in The UK this is not a problem as the worktop would in most cases be of timber composite construction , and thus relatively easy to modify, whereas in Spain it is highly likely they can be of Granite or other hard to cut materials

Plenty of excellent UK trained Electricians in and around Costa Blanca South. Hope you get it all sorted soon.
