Los Montesinos,a really lovely town, lots of facilities, friendly people, however, the biggest downfall is dog excrement all over the pavements.

We get the same here in Benidorm especially around the back streets. I can't blame the dogs but the owners should show more responsibility. Dog mess can cause serious illness. On some pavements it's like a slalom course trying to avoid treading in it, very difficult to avoid at night.

Absolutely disgusting.......

Not blaming international tourists at all as its mainly local residents who are international but many second home owners often bring their dogs with them......and let them crap all over the pavement, and leave it there!!

Ok, perhaps some sort of dog poo passport could be introduced for second home owners. It’s obvious that tourists don’t bring their dogs with them, I was only joking about that !. Just making a point that it’s your residents, (second home owners or not) and only you can do something about that.

I’ve noticed in the last day or two, more people are walking dogs on the beach and just leaving the excrement behind.  There are bins every few metres.  Most disappointing!   I was trying to do some extra dog training on a very long leash this morning with my “ teenager” & had to keep avoiding getting his leash getting caught up in it 🤦‍♀️  Gives responsible dog owners a bad name.
