Hi, I am returning to the UK next Monday (25th October) and understood that from next week, the Day 2 test needed for entry is an antigen/lateral flow test.  However, I am trying to book a test and the providers listed on the UK Government website seem to be only offering the more expensive ...

...PCR test.  Does anyone know a reputable source that offers the lateral flow Day 2 test please?  Any clarifications most welcome.  with thanks in advance

Hi there I’ve just booked mine with this company £25.

As we know it’s an utter scam and rip off by the government (Matt Hancock is shareholder with his sister in Randox)

I flew back a few months ago, put my 14yr old son down as dbl jabbed, no one checked the locator forms, our day 2 test arrived day six so I binned it.  Never heard a thing.

Two weeks ago after paying for the day two tests to get the reference number for the locator form, my wife and I flew back from Santorini….guess what…not one person asked for the locator form again!!

But, bet anything, if ever I didn’t get the reference for the locator form I would be asked for it lol.

About time this sham was brought to an end!

My sister had problems trying all sorts of reference numbers, we found her's on the email with the original invoice, as part of the invoice, not the email header/title bit.  HOpe that helps.

Just got on ferry never even scaned locator form,n

We went on a website called Testing For All. A lateral flow test cost us £26.00 each. It was very simple.

Hi,

we used Simplytestme. I ordered the tests on Thursday morning, we arrived back from Spain yesterday and tests were waiting for us at home. We did the tests this morning, uploaded them onto the STM website and got the validated (negative) results  in about 15 minutes via email. Very good service.

By the way, Alicante airport was manic, luckily we had allowed an extra 30 minutes. Even getting into the car park there was a big queue. Though this weekend is the end of UK half term hols so it may not be so busy going forward.

Just an update, we both got pinged yesterday by test&trace, someone on our flight must have tested positive. Despite the negative comments I have seen about T&T my experience was that they are very good. They sent emails, texts and followed up with calls to both our mobiles. They advised us on what we need to do regards self isolation, etc (we do not need to self isolate as we are double jabbed and have no symptoms).

We have arranged PCR tests which we are taking today. If they are positive we will have to self-isolate. Hopefully negative as we have arranged our booster jabs for Thursday.

Aitch.

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

Because our bent govt crooks have a way of screwing money out of us and ask the question, how many are either friends of directors of these companies or maybe have a financial interest in them themselves.
