Hi Graham and Pam, if you click on "Coronavirus discussion" in the tabs at the top of the page the answers are there. If you can't see the tab just click on the left or right arrows until it comes up.
If you still have any questions, ask away.

Passenger locator form and nhs proof of both jabs to come out. Antigen test and day 2 test for when you return. Plus passenger locator form.

Hi Graham and Pam,

For entry to Spain, you need to provide proof of double-vaccination and complete the Spanish health form:

https://www.spth.gob.es/

For return to the UK, you need proof of double-vaccination, a negative Antigen or PCR test no more than 72 hours before departing Spain, complete the Passenger Locator Form and pre-purchase of a Day 2 PCR test, the reference number for which needs to be added to the Locator Form before you leave Spain:

https://www.gov.uk/provide-journey-contact-details-before-travel-uk

I´d also highly recommend bookmarking this link:

https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/spain/entry-requirements

as that means you will be able to easily check for any changes to the information before you travel.

Kind regards,

Kim

Hi

Came out 30/8 had proof of vaccination form, and the spanish health form , came into Murcia we were the only  flight  in so went through quickly they had two queues, one was fast and  the other was for those who obviously did not have the right documents or some kind of problem , they checked our forms scanned the QR code and we were off, were here until November but will have to deal with what is required for our return, hopefully things might have changed, have a good holiday

Hi Sheila,

I know the Antigen test at El Raso pharmacy is €40.  I don't know whether they also offer the PCR test, but you don't need the more expensive PCR for return to the UK anyway.

For comparison, the IMED clinic in Torrevieja offers the Antigen test for €40 and the PCR test for €96.

Kind regards,

Kim

Thank you Kim . I’ve read today that the Uk is going to scrap the traffic light system and with that the need for testing . Fingers crossed .
A PCR test is  only 25€ in France at a pharmacy or 43 € at a laboratory, but the two day PCR test needed on return to the UK is just a nonsense as the results don’t come in 24 hours as they should . Our children waited four days to get their results!
A money making affair , especially as tests are piling up in designated post boxes and not even collected. Our sons clearly wasn’t processed as his came back marked VOID. . Also one of them travelling back by car was not even asked for their negative test, which they had to have done here before they travelled ,  when they went through customs on return to the UK. So what is the point. If the rules are strictly adhered to that’s ok for safety reasons but it is pointless if people do what is necessary at a huge cost per family if they are not checked on arrival in the UK
They were asked for their vaccination certificates on arrival in France , that was all. It seems that is all that is going to be necessary now. Fingers crossed it happens soon.

Kind regards , Sheila

Hi Sheila,

The Government´s next review is scheduled for 1 October.  From what I´ve read, the changes you mention are as a result of the Government suggesting that they may consolidate Green and Amber countries into one list, with the rules for travel to and from those countries becoming the same, while travellers to the countries designated Red will have to continue with testing and quarantine.

It is odd though - while Spain´s and France´s case rates are dropping, the UK´s is increasing, so is testing helping?  Or, if BoJo really is "following the science", the UK´s increasing infection rate would suggest that testing should be retained?  Whatever they decide, I hope they do a better job of communicating it to the general public this time.

Kind regards,

Kim
