We are residents, but still  on private insurance . Been in bar recently, spoke to someone who has been diagnosed  positive with covid. We have self isolated, taken several antigen tests at home, all negative. Have been away for several months, would like to know the procedure please

Hi Mark,

Have you been double vaccinated?

When you say, you´ve been in a bar "recently", how recently?  When you say you spoke to someone "who has been diagnosed positive with Covid", do you mean they have previously had Covid and recovered, or they were currently infected?  (If the latter, please tell us the name of the bar, so that we can all avoid it!)

As a minimum, I would self-isolate for 10 days and then contact a local provider to arrange a PCR test - they are more sensitive and reliable than an Antigen test.  However, if you should develop symptoms, call 112 and explain the situation to them for advice on how to proceed.

Stay safe and kind regards,

Kim
