Hi All. Quick question on driving licences. That is so much chat about how brits may need to re take driving tests etc after October. I’m only in Spain for the max of 90 days every 180. Any thoughts of what may be happening. The gov websites make nothing really clear. Thanks. Matt.
Having to take a driving test is only for new residents from the UK, if you are a tourist you can keep your UK licence and continue to use it for your visits here, you don't even need an International Driving Permit.

Great news thank you. Is there a limit as far as you are aware ? Ie. If I’m there for just 90 days. My car is still on English plates atm so can see me getting stopped. Thanks for your reply 👍

As long as the 90 day maximum includes your journey to and from Spain and the car is taxed and insured then if you are stopped you will be OK.

I might be reading your reply wrong = my car is still on English plates atm? Are you saying that the car is permanently in Spain?

Hi. No I’m driving it down. But do plan to keep it there. So sorting ITV etc is a whole different story I guess ? Do you know how long I have to switch it ?

https://www.spanish-number-plates.com/ they will be able to tell you how to get your car on spanish plates and the costs involved but have you considered buying a Spanish car to keep here as it will be a whole lot easier?
Thanks. That’s great will take a look. I have a spare car here in the U.K. only a cheap older one so hopefully import tax will be less otherwise I would have bought one there. Any other pointers on the car side of things do let me know. :) thanks for all your advice.
