Morning

We are out in Spain viewing properties. Can anyone comment on what the following areas are like to live in (whole year or for 2/3 months at a time)

1) El Raso

2) La Herrada

3) Los Montesinos

Many thanks in advice

Hi. We moved into an Apt (Contrimar) in January this year, at El Raso. A modern complex, and we understand that 80% of the owners are Belgian or Dutch. The people we have met so far have mostly spoken excellent English and we have no problems communicating.

We are opposite the new development and although there is building going on every day we have not found it unduly intrusive. There is dust which gets everywhere, but this will gradually reduce as the building works move further away.

You can walk round the estates and the road layouts easily. There is a lovely atmosphere. It is quiet. There are eating places at the start of the estate. We tried most of them and all are acceptable. To walk from the new Apts to the restaurants would take 20 mins.

You can walk to the Sunday Market easily and is an entertaining place to visit. Lots of stalls and eating places. Coffee stalls. About 400 stalls we have been told!

El Raso suits us because we can drive to the beach in ten minutes at Guardamar or a bit further to La Marina. We enjoy the peace and out of town feel. We have spoken to several people who live in the older properties and they all seem to like it as they have stayed for teens of years and only moved within the estate if they have moved.

Any questions, please ask.

HI,

We haved lived on La Herrada for 8 years now and love it.We are south facing and have views over the salt lakes, and at night we can see the lights of Torrevieja. We are a 10 minute walk to the village, a 5 minute walk to the supermarket, shops and bars on our urbanization, and 2 minutes to our communal pool.

We are currently on the market as we want to rent a finca or a townhouse in the village. We are very competively priced, if interested please get in touch.

Regards Jim.

Hi Gary

I replied to this on yesterday's forum, as stated very convenient for Los Montesinos

( 10 mins walk ) local shops and supermarket and bars (5 mins walk) We are currently on the market for 105,000, a 3 bed quad with bathroom, brand new downstairs wet room.We have wonderful views of the salt lakes, and at night can see all the lights of Torrevieja, not to mention being in the best street and being south facing.

If interested please get in touch.

Regards Jim.

We lived in El Raso for two years before we moved to Moriara. El Raso is a well kept URB but to be honest we found it too quiet and lifeless.
