Hi all. I’m driving down next month from Santander to los montesinos. I know it can be done in a day but any recommendations for a hotel stop over to break up the journey ? Would be good not to go to far off track. Thanks as always. Matt.

Hi.
We stopped in Burgos. Ferry docked at 2.30pm. Out of port by 3pm. 2 hour easy journey, so that leaves you the rest of the afternoon, evening and maybe part of next morning to explore. Well worth a stop. Great tapas bars and stunning cathedral. If you're thinking of visiting cathedral it may be worth pre booking. Can recommend hotel Bulevar. A short walk into town. Underground safe parking. €15 per 24 hours. 6 hour drive onward journey to Torrevieja.
