Hi. My name is bernard. I am thinking of moving to Spain as a single retired man. of 66 years of age. I am a little nervous about my move to Spain.  So I think I am looking for a little comfort from people that live in spain. weather I am making the right decision. with only having about 800 pounds per month pension. would it be enough to injoy life. and maybe a small car to get around in.

Thank you for any reply I may get.

Hi bernard. "sun park living" in Lazarote seems to be offering a great opportunity for the over 50's where you get an apartment with all bills paid and as the Island is small enough to get aroung without a car, this would possibly be the perfect opportunity to join other likeminded people and at the same time, see if this wonderful resort can fulfill your dreams on your budget. look them up through the internet and good luck.

I was thinking of trying out the place for my self and friends as its a great pity this kind of concept and ethos doesnt seem to exisit on the mainland.

Hi Bernard, I think you will love it, I moved here on my own five years ago, I bought a house and car and get less pension than you and I manage, there are clubs you can join and pick and choose which things you would like to join in, it helped me meet lots of new people.

Good luck and I don't think you will disappointed in your move, think about the beautiful weather for starters.

Hi Bernard

I too am 66 single and have a villa in la marina , I would rent first and stay for six months , I have seen quite a few Brits move here initially love the weather and lifestyle and later return to the UK, others settle here and never want to leave.

Health , grandchildren and family are the most common issues , I think you can live cheaper here than in the UK  Personally I love it here but I think location is very important here. Good luck mate
