Scam beware

Just to let you all know, we booked a hire car through Do You Spain and we're taken to Click Rental. The service was great and straight forward. HHowever we were told that we would be charged for fuel off we didn't fill up before returning it. We did this.

When we checked with the bank after returning home to UK we noticed that we hadn't been given a full refund of deposit.

We contacted them and been told that it's their policy to still charge you for fuel and this is unrefundable.

What a scam! Please be aware of this company as when we thought we had a reasonable deal, it was in fact more expensive than other companies.

We certainly won't be using them again!

Having been caught out myself in the past the best advice I can offer is to avoid 3rd party booking sites and instead deal with the better known hire companies directly.

A race to the bottom price wise always carries a risk of working out more costly in the long run!

I think you should notify "Do you Spain" and register complaint, as they are promoting a scamming company. Small print is ever smaller!

Have you spoken to your credit card company ? If you still have the contract and evidence of your query, emails etc they could do a recharge for you. Your agreement is with the credit card company, that’s why it’s wise to use a credit card.
