Hi. I have just purchased a one bed apartment in Mil Palmeras. We will use it as a holiday home and do not wish to rent it out. It is 1st floor in a 2 up 2 down block of four apartments on an urbanisation.
The is our first purchase of a property abroad so I am looking for advice on what we should do re buildings insurance for the apartment. Many thanks in advance

Hi, I insure my 2 bedroom holiday apartment with a U.K. company Intasure www.intasure.com
I have found them to be competitive and have used them since 2006. I receive the insurance policy in both English & Spanish.
I would strongly recommend that if you have already purchased your property that you arrange your buildings insurance as soon as possible.

We use Alex Newman Insurance 0034 965 322 834, there office is in Orihuela. Having recently made a claim I can confirm that they were quick to arrange the payout from the Insurance company, Ibex, and were helpful throughout.
