Hello Everyone.  My wife Georgina and I have just bought a Villa in Calle de Calderón Del a Barca.   We are hoping to spend our time equally here and in the UK.

We live in a small town called Snaith in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Until joining this group I was unaware that Monforte Del Cid was in a different location to where we have bought our property.  Having found the actual town I see it’s a bit of a drive up the A31 from us.    Are there any other people on this forum that live near us on the Urbanización.  If so please Private message me because we are looking for a pool maintenance company to service our pool.   I’ve contacted about 5 so far and no one seems to want to come to do the work,   I am also looking for an internet provider.  The previous owners used Teltec but I’m not sure what they are like!  I trust that we cannot get Fibre Optic internet but we can get 5G via a company called Aeromax.  I would welcome anyone’s help with these Internet providers.

I’ve managed to get a guy out to fit me a big satellite dish with a HD box so we can view British TV.  Not sure if I have to pay a fee for viewing though!

I am coming over in a couple of weeks time to start fitting a kitchen and tiling bathrooms.  Plenty to do at this house...so much for semi retiring.   That’s all for now.  Thanks.  Steve

Can’t seem to find anyone on here from our estate . It appears you are in the Spanish Town because you have shops .  whereas I am in the urbanisation about 10 km away and have no shops or restaurants!  Hope you are settling in .

A couple of websites that may be of help are as follows:

Citizens Advice Bureau Spain for bureaucratic stuff - there is quite a lot of that(!!), and

N332 for aything to do with driving in Spain.
