Hi All. Bought a super Villa near Monforte del Cid last January (2019), and decided not to apply for Residency as we only use our Villa as a '' Holiday Home '' for less than 90 days at a time and not more than 183 day in any year. Paying Taxes in UK as I have a small pension there and wife has a small B&B income. I read that I have to pay the Non-Residency Tax, which I understand is based on our property '' Value '', and for 2019 has to be registered and paid no later than 30th June this year. Hopefully I have read on-line all the above information correctly. Has anyone had experience of paying this tax, and c an anyone recommend a Person and / or Lawyer who can help to register and complete forms etc, hopefully not too far from Monforte?

On a brighter note - we love living here especially since the weather has now settled, and would be pleased to meet-up with similar folks (when this dreaded Virus has been controlled) . I am retired LA Officer from Wales and wife is a trifle younger (lucky me eh?) originally from Ukraine but now is a British Citizen.  OK - epistle is over - hope to get some response/help.  Diolch yn fawr iawn.

Correct Ray on the deadline.

I might be wrong ( there's a surprise ) but a LA Officer would a Local Authority Officer, similar to a Council worker.

HI Castleman.

Thanks you for your reply... unfortunately I do not speak Welsh... very sad about it..... but just a few works to generate interest... like your reply.

I am from Neath originally, but now reside in the beautiful Swansea Valley.  Do you live far from Monforte del Cil?    would be swell to meet when lockdown dictates.

Hi Bob, read all replies and wasn't sure any offerred a company to deal with it. I use Angar Taxation Services in Torrevieja, which is highly recommended by Jim in his guides. They are very responsive and deal with your tax efficiently all by email for only 20€ per owner per property (ie 40€ for joint ownership) and they pay it on your behalf all included with a receipt for proof. I,d recommend them too. Just google them and fill in their form.

Regards

Pauline.

Hi Pauline,

Thanks a million for your prompt and helpful reply.

I have contacted ATS and filled in their form... Jim has also recommended them in his guide.

Thanks again
