I don't know Monte Azul personally, but the vast majority of amenities in the general area are clustered along Avenida de las Naciones, in Quesada, otherwise known as the high street.
Google maps says it's about 25 minutes to walk it.

Use google maps to find out walking distances to various bars, supermarkets etc but remember that in the blazing sun those distances will feel much longer, especially if carrying shopping.
