Hi I have a rustic property which has 3 side of the property fenced and 1 side half fenced.
I have been told I need permission put up fencing. Would I still need permission to fencing in the bit that has not been done ?
The fencing already up is chain link.
Is this expensive to buy and how difficult to put up?

That's one of the minor jobs on which different town halls have different rules, so you'd need to ask your town hall.
Materials aren't particularly expensive, but can of course add up if it's a long fence.
If you're planning on putting screening on the mesh for privacy, use fence posts with added stays, to prevent strong winds from doing any damage.
All the installations I've seen have just used a mortar or fine concrete mix for the posts, but if you haven't got a lot to do then it might be worth considering buying bags of ready-mix containing an accelerant which makes the mix go off quickly.
Round here, fence installers put a name plate on the fences they erect, so if you see a fence that's been well built, see if it has a plate giving the installer's name and number.
If you do it yourself, remember that you'll need a tensioner for each of the wires.
