Hi! Just moved in, am looking for someone who speaks english who can advise & fit either oil fired central heating or other.

We live in Chinorlet so Monover or Pinoso?

Many thanks

Congratulations!

It might be worth considering storage heaters which will take advantage of the cheaper overnight rates with a solar system for the hot water.

We installed bottled gas central heating off a combi boiler but then my husband is a plumber and we were totally renovating our villa so digging up the tiled floors for the pipework was no problem for us. I wouldn't even consider having surface mounted pipework to collect dust and grime!

Considerably more of a challenge is keeping the heat in once produced as a lot of traditional properties have single skin walls with no insulation in the walls or roof and also have badly performing windows.

A combination of fuels is a good idea, using electric during the cheap rate times, a wood or pellet burner and maybe a portable bottled gas fire for extra localised heat in well ventilated areas.

Hi Sue, in addition to Cheryl's good advice....I would suggest you contact Andy Craw and Nick Gooding for names. Nick may be 'the one'. Andy is electrics and the best around here. They will know for sure. Both are on the Pinoso Community site.

Best wishes,

D&J

No probs Sue. A further thought building on the other advice re multi fuel systems. Consider the cladding option (steels and dry liner) to keep the heat in. We just run aircon cooling / heating into our bedroom and then a new pellet burner from Feri at Villena for the lounge / kitchen and hallway. It is very effective as a combo....and inexpensive.

Best wishes.
