Hi we are looking to relocate permanently by the end of the year. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats. Does anyone have any recommendations re getting them from the U.K. to Moraira, Spain please? I’ve had a quote by air for £2400 for the 4 of them. Thank You

We used a specialised animal transport company for our two cats. They travelled overland and were delivered to a local cattery with whom the couriers have links. They stayed there until we could move into our property and collect them. They were perfectly alright and had no problems, traumas or anything else. We of course kept them locked in for another couple of weeks and then opened the doors.

We used animalcouriers.com, who are based in Sussex. They are fully licensed and insured, recommend. There are several perfectly good companies online.

It cost us some £400 for transport plus cattery fees at either end plus all medical certification etc, but this was a few years ago. The air fares for the two of them then would have been over £700, plus the hassle of collecting them from the commercial cargo bay right at the other side of the airport.

Thanks Stephanie I will certainly take a look at these.  👍🏻
